beijing: day 3

so today was awesome! we woke up bright and early to go the the great wall. me and cyrus met up with one of our agent’s designers, jessica, who was our tour guide/translator for the day. it was freezing! its could down in beijing but up in the mountains…holy moly. i almost blew away like a kite. either way it was something ive always wanted to see and im so happy i got to climb it. so much history, was so incredible to be able to experience this.

then we got to ride down to the bottom on a rollercoaster!

then afterwards we headed off to the beijing zoo where the only thing we had much time to see were the pandas and the tigers/lions etc. it was kind of sad, the pandas had their own enclosure but all the other animals had kind of pathetic cages. i tried not to dwell on it so much.

im glad that we were able to get one sightseeing day in while i was here, i wish i could have done more while i was in india. this journey has been beyond incredible, stuff that not everyone gets the chance to do and i am eternally grateful for everything i have seen, eaten, learnt and grown from.
